Designed by Mel Smilow in 1960 and reintroduced in 2021, The Floating Platform Bed is a solid wood frame with detailed joinery at each corner. Sitting 9 inches off the ground, the base appears to float in the room. Available from Full to California King.
When Mel Smilow designed this collection he focused on the Japanese term Shibui, which to him meant magnificent simplicity, elegance with good taste.
