Smilow® Furniture Does Last a Lifetime

From the beginning of Smilow® Furniture in 1949, the aim was to design and build beautiful modern furniture that were “Enduring, Modern, Classics made to last a lifetime”.

Well, it’s always great to see and hear further proof of our long held Smilow® Furniture motto.

This month we were contacted by the daughter of a long ago Smilow® Furniture customer from the late 60’s who furnished their entire White Plains, NY home with Smilow Furniture. Still in great condition, after raising a family in this house, the furniture is still looking great and being enjoyed to this day. She invited us into their home to see just how stylish the furniture still looks and how beautifully it has held up.

The daughter remembers,

"As a young teen, I recall going many times to your Dad's White Plains store with my parents. Even though it took a while to find their dream house, they always knew it would be filled with Mr. Smilow's furniture. This happened in 1970 ... Mom and Dad bought a house. Every room was filled with this beautiful furniture. A couple years later when my Grandmother moved back to New York from Amsterdam, her apartment was filled with the same furniture.”
